Kismet is more than just a thoroughbred farm, it’s an experience, with years of history and special locations all over the farm that add to the magic of this place. We provide these locations for special events like weddings, parties, corporate functions, and those unique occasions that need a unique environment to accomplish the purpose of the celebration. We love to share our farm and we love being a part of the occasions that forever engrain Kismet as part of life’s events!
Summit PointSummit Point
Summit Point is the highest point of the farm and it overlooks the entire property with views of The Creek, The Meadow, The Paddocks, The Cottage, and The Biosphere Fields. Summit Point is a wide-open field in between our main barn and The Meadow and has a natural boarder of huge towering trees all the way around it. Summit Point is large enough to host groups up to 500 people for large weddings or big corporate events, or quaint and charming for intimate groups that want a smaller scale for their special occasion. Either way you go, Summit Point is sure to provide all the views you would want to enhance your event on a historical piece of land.
The MeadowThe Meadow
The Meadow is the most magical place on the farm because of the unique shade that is created by the trees and the gradual hill that is bordered by a slow natural flow of water from the springhouse into the pond. The tranquility that comes from the natural sounds of the water flowing over the limestone shelves and into the pond puts everyone at ease and creates a feel of nostalgia. From the middle of The Meadow you look right at the pond with overlooking views of The Countryside Fields and The Creek. The Meadow is the perfect location for a unique and intimate wedding, and the natural landscape allows for any decorative style a wedding party has in mind with the help of all the trees that make you feel like you are in the middle of serenity.
The CreekThe Creek
The Elkhorn Creek wraps itself all the way around Kismet Farms, and we have opened a big field right on the banks of the creek in order to provide the ultimate country vibe for any occasion. Giant sycamore and walnut trees line the banks of the Elkhorn, and when the sun shines through the leaves and reflects off the bottom of the clear and calm water you will feel the magic of miracles, it’s truly spectacular. The Creek is an ideal location for casual affairs or formal gatherings because no matter your desire, there is nothing better than being next to the charm and mystique of one of the countries most legendary bodies of water.
The PaddocksThe Paddocks
The paddocks provide for the ultimate “horse farm” wedding. The Paddocks are four plank fence board paddocks lining both sides of our luscious Kentucky Bluegrass lane, which gradually ascends to Summit Point. With our main barn as the backdrop at the top of the hill it creates the dream plateau for the wedding party, and horses in the paddocks make the guest list a little more special, if you want them there! The lane is wide enough to place up to five seats on both sides, as many rows deep as your guest list, and leave plenty of room for a bride’s walk down the aisle, or in our case, up the aisle!
The CottageThe Cottage
The Cottage is on the far north east of the farm and sits on a limestone ledge overlooking the Elkhorn Creek. The location of The Cottage is intended to create privacy, and unity, with all of the natural elements of Kismet Farms. The Cottage is ideal for a bridal suite. Come and stay the night before your wedding, and on your special day, have everyone come to you for breakfast, hair, make up, and the final preparations for your ceremony. The Cottage is also the perfect staging ground for headquarters during corporate events allowing the person in charge some time ahead for final preparations, and a home base for smaller meetings. The Cottage is so unique in design, and comfortable in feel, it is sure to exceed your expectations and contribute to a lifelong memory.
